JetBlue in the community
Our commitment to the cities we serve is to support and align ourselves with not- for-profit organizations that focus on children, education, communities and the environment. We engage our crewmembers to help make an impact and inspire greatness in others while enriching the lives of the individuals and communities we serve. This year we have partnered with KaBOOM!, a not-for-profit organization that envisions a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America. With the help for our Crewmembers we have built two play spaces this year in Orlando, FL and Newark, NJ. We will also build play spaces in Boston, Long Beach, CA and Queens, NY before May 2007. JetBlue, Blue's Clues, Nickelodeon and First Book, have also teamed up to provide 100,000 new books for children at risk. First Book is a not-for-profit organization with the mission to give children from low-income families the opportunity to read and own their first new books. Additionally, we are partnering with The American Cancer Society and their Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walks in several of our cities. We are hoping to raise awareness and raise money for a cure.
Charity request
JetBlue supports more than 75 charities per month in the cities we serve. We do this through WECARE donations. These donations usually consist of roundtrip vouchers the organization can use for fundraising. We receive more than 100 requests per week and every request is carefully reviewed. We ensure the organizations we support are in line with our values. If you are interested in submitting a charity or donation request please visit jetblue.com/wecare. Please submit your request at least three (3) months prior to your event and allow 4-6 weeks for a response.
